    Description

    This auction is for a lot of three Ordnance literature items that came from the estate of an old military supplier employee in the Detroit area.
    Item one is entitled "The Story of the Tank (Prior to World War II) by Theodore H. Erbe Capt. Ord Dept. - An Ordnance Background Article." This measures 9 inches by 12 inches and has twelve pages. It was reprinted by The Ordnance School Aberdeen Proving Ground from The Ordnance Sergeant. It has sections on tanks prior to 1914, slow birth of the tank, tanks during World War I and tanks between the two wars. There are many photographs and reference items.
    Inside this first item was a single mimeograph sheet of paper dated October 15,1946 entitled "Total Production - Ordnance Combat Vehicles."
    The third item is entitled "The Army Rolls" and investigates the lessons learned by the United States Army about ordnance vehicles. This too measures 9 inches by 12 inches and has twelve pages and was reprinted by The Ordnance School Aberdeen Proving Ground from The Ordnance Sergeant.
