KATE VOGEL
are American studio glass artists who have worked collaboratively for the past forty years, designing and creating some of the most recognizable collaborative sculptures in contemporary art glass. They are considered to be among the third generation of American Studio Glass Movement artists who trace their roots to the work of John Littleton’s father, Harvey Littleton, in the 1960’s. Harvey Littleton is credited with starting the studio glass movement in the US. Littleton and Vogel’s earliest collaborations in glass were the bag forms which they are well known for today.
This piece is from the ACRO bags series, featuring two small colorful glass bag forms balancing on top of a single larger bag.
This piece was produced in 1993, signed on the base, and is in excellent condition.
