A beautiful antique silvery metal engraved and machined Lipstick Holder with a greenish or turquoise stone setting and mirror that pops open when you take the end off. This lipstick holder or box was made for a lady's purse as a vanity item. It has a flower on a stem with leaves engraved on the top under the stone as a decoration. The rest of the body of the piece is machined with fine intersecting lines. This was a nice piece of Jewelry for a lady's purse. The piece has a hinged lid with a loaded spring thus allowing the lid to open once the lipstick is pulled out from one end. Although the piece is not marked as the metal, it is silvery in color, feels and cleans as if it was sterling silver. Please view photos as they are part and parcel of the description.

This is definitely a nice lipstick holder box and vanity item with nice wear and patina.
Condition:
Box is in great condition given its age. The piece has no breaks or repairs. It does have scratches and general wear commensurate with its age. In addition, the mirror has a couple of spots with the silver backing is lost. The lid works great and the spring is tight. The piece could use a good cleaning, but we will leave that to the new owner.
