.00 Series 1899 Silver Certificate, Indian Chief Banknote, FR# 274, Fine-!

$ 290.39

Availability: 100 in stock
  • Grade: Fine -
  • Type: Banknotes
  • Denomination:
  • Condition: This note has great color and contrast for the grade. It has nice even margins all around. The top margin does have some wear and slight paper loss. The note has some dirt from years of circulation. The biggest issue with this note is that there are small wear holes and slight paper loss at the very center of the note. There are 4 wear holes and 18 pinholes most of which are small, but the worst of them are in the facial area of the Chief. If you don’t see any paper in the scan, you have to assume that its missing or gone! I have scanned the note with a black and a white background to better help you see the wear holes and paper loss. The note does not have any rips or tears. I marked the pinholes in orange and the wear holes in pink. I would grade this note as a Fine -, because of the wear holes and paper loss in the center of the note. Please look at the scans carefully and judge the grade and quality of this note for yourself before bidding.
