    Description

    Pilots Grizodubova, Osipenko, Raskova after the presentation of awards in the Kremlin. Moscow, 1938.
    On September 24–25, 1938, on an ANT-37 "Rodina" aircraft, the crew consisting of the commander, V. S. Grizodubova, the second pilot, P. D. Osipenko, and the navigator, M. M. Raskova, made a non-stop flight Moscow - the Far East (Kerby, Komsomolsk-on-Amur region) with a length of 6450 km (in a straight line - 5910 km).
    During the flight (26 hours 29 minutes) a women's world aviation record of flight range was set.
    For the flight and the courage and heroism shown by Grisodubova, Osipenko and Raskova on November 2, 1938, the title of Hero of the Soviet Union was awarded.
